About Us

Kingsley Hall is a place for the people – a church and community centre at the heart of Barking and Dagenham for nearly 100 years. Since its work began in 1929, thousands have visited Kingsley Hall, to worship, celebrate and find friends, both in times of peace and times of great difficulty. It’s still the same today. This vibrant community hub, with café, preschool and church fellowships welcomes hundreds of people every week. As we embark on the next season of community work at Kingsley Hall, we have bold and ambitious plans to develop this dynamic centre for an exciting future. Inspired by Kingsley’s pioneering founders, we will continue to put our Christian faith into action, working together for the good of the local community. We celebrate our remarkable heritage and impact as we build the next chapter of Kingsley Hall’s story, drawing from the experiences of local people, contributing to extraordinary happenings!

We are delivering bold and ambitious plans for developing this dynamic centre to an exciting future. We have already completed our redevelopment first phase of fantastic new state of the art nursery facilities and key worker housing and are now proceeding with building a fantastic new world class community centre. Inspired by Kingsley’s pioneering founders, we will continue to put our Christian faith into action, working together for the good of the local community.

With a growing team of more than 20 staff and many more volunteers, we are here to help you.
