By ‘living well’ we mean creating opportunities for local people of all ages to fulfil their potential in educational, emotional, physical, social and vocational health and wellbeing throughout the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and beyond.
Kingsley Hall provides opportunities to live well for all ages from early years to services for children, young people and all local people through direct services and wrap around support and in collaboration with partners.
Our services include Parent toddler groups / Pre-school and Nursery provision / Children’s and Youth work / Community Hubs / Street Kitchen community cafes / Social Supermarkets / Churches and strategic support to other community groups and public services.
Kingsley Hall is a place for the people – a church and community centre at the heart of Barking and Dagenham for nearly 100 years. Since its work began in 1929, thousands have visited Kingsley Hall, to worship, celebrate and find friends, both in times of peace and times of great difficulty. It’s still the same today. This vibrant community hub, with café, preschool and church fellowships welcomes hundreds of people every week. As we embark on the next season of community work at Kingsley Hall, we have bold and ambitious plans to develop this dynamic centre for an exciting future. Inspired by Kingsley’s pioneering founders, we will continue to put our Christian faith into action, working together for the good of the local community. We celebrate our remarkable heritage and impact as we build the next chapter of Kingsley Hall’s story, drawing from the experiences of local people, contributing to extraordinary happenings!
With a growing team of more than 25 staff and many more volunteers, we are here to help you.
We partner with all local people and specifically people from a background of disadvantage and disability and in partnership with other community groups and organisations.
